Guard labels help prevent. Nobody can take them off and reattach them unnoticed, because they destroy themselves irreversibly when they are removed. Security labels are not undetectably interchangeable with imitations because they have features that make them unique and counterfeit-proof. Guard labels speak a clear language, because they signal unmistakably:

"Anyone who removes me is obliged to purchase!" They offer protection against criminal fraud, cheating and
abuse of consumer rights. Security labels avert damage - especially also in e-commerce.
 

Labels with multiple benefits

Guard labels can be produced as loop labels, but also in any other shape. Despite their special features, they can be printed with any data as standard labels using a thermal transfer printer. For example, a security label can be used for price marking or as a representative seal to guarantee the pristine original condition of a branded product. Individually combined, various protection factors result in a label with a unique character.

Material with sealing impact

Self-destructing material gives a security label seal character. The slightest attempt to open, remove and reposition an equivalent security label after first application will irrevertibly destroy it. Depending on its quality, it splits into layers, crumbles into minute particles or rips.

Which destruction effect occurs depends on the material used and how it is processed. For example, punching at certain, particularly sensitive points of the label shape can additionally support the already existing tearing tendency. The detachability of the label from the carrier web and its ease of application must not be restricted.

Security labels / Guard labels with hologram

Protection in a representative look

A hologram increases the counterfeit protection. So replacing the original security label by an imitation on possibly counterfeited goods is made difficult.
Prefabricated holographic foils with a standardised security note or symbol, e.g. a lock, are used. For special security requirements it is possible to have individual hologram material produced. If you are not afraid of kost and effort, you can integrate your company logo or your own warning statement.
The use of holographic foil does not restrict the further use of the security label, for example in price labelling. Holographic patches can be printed on with standard thermal transfer printers in scratch-proof quality and resistant to ultrasonic bath.

Security Labels / Guard Labels with blacklight-sensitivity

Hidden counterfeit protection

Blacklight-sensitive print on a security label remains invisible in daylight and artificial light. As known from the authenticity control of money bills, black-light sensitive areas can only be detected under a special lamp. In principle, blacklight-sensitiv printing can be overprinted with individual data via thermal transfer printer.

Blacklight-sensitive printing is done with prefabricated foils. Three different film types are possible:
The first film type shows a readable print image under normal light conditions, like any standard print. In addition, a standardized pattern visible only under black light appears within the printed areas.
The second option uses a film that prints exclusively blacklight-sensitive. The printed image created in this way, e.g. company logos or texts, can therefore only be seen illuminated accordingly.
As a third version, the complete security label is covered with a blacklight-sensitive laminate. Blacklight then illuminates the entire label surface, but not the data imprint.

Protection through clear words

Returning worn or used goods with reference to the right of return and reclaiming the price paid is widespread, especially in e-commerce. Here plain text helps to put bazen consumers in their place. A warning message on the security label clarifies unmistakably: Anyone who removes the label exceeds his authority and commits himself to purchase.
If the label is too small for text, a symbol, e.g. a security lock, can also signal the seal character of the label. This makes it immediately clear that if the security label is missing or damaged, the consumer has forfeited his right to a return.

Security Labels with Pattern Effect - PRIME-Guard Labels

When a PRIME-Guard Label is applied, the white permanent adhesive bonds between the transparent label areas to form an almost opaque layer. An attempt to separate again the firmly adhering adhesive surfaces of the label once closed causes the adhesive film to tear in a defined structure. The label areas show a transparent triangle pattern. It cannot be revised, not even by fitting the separated surfaces together exactly. This makes every manipulation attempt obvious and verifiable.

Security Labels with Splitting Effect

When first attached, the permanent adhesive bonds the adherent label surfaces so tightly that an attempt to reopen the label will split the material into layers.The split label areas are unglued, so they do not stick and cannot be rejoined immediately. The label cannot be easily reapplied but is permanently damaged.
Guard Labels based on Destruct material with a split effect act as a preventive measure against fraudulent reapplication of labels once removed to goods that have already been used.

Threads with the security plus

For increased security requirements, we can also recommend the use of security threads from our range of fastening accessories. The threads consist of a tear-resistant textile cord and have a snap lock. Once closed, the special mechanism cannot be opened again. The thread must be cut to remove the label.
Security threads are used with self-adhesive tags or thread labels. They are particularly representative when combined with self-adhesive thread labels of the WrapTag type. With this type of label, two additional transparent areas wrap the label as soon as it is folded.

The eXtra4 range of watch labels focuses on the labelling of wristwatches. In general, our wide range of jewellery labels can be used for the labelling of wristwatches. Among the various label types in the jewellery segment, there are solutions such as labels with loop, labels with thread or label combinations, the dimensions of which are already suitable for wristwatches and can be used as watch labels without further changes.

Special labels for wristwatches

Certain requirements concerning watches make specific watch labels necessary: A watch collection should be labelled with one and the same label despite the fact that it has wristbands of different widths; leather and metal of watch bands must not come into contact with adhesive; watch cases must be labelled directly without damage - special cases of this kind require special solutions. Watch labels for the case back usually have a round shape. Our stock assortment consists of white or transparent plastic foil composite, which can be marked with individual data in the thermal transfer printer. Two different adhesive variants are available: permanent adhesive or removable.

We use watch labels without adhesive as scratch protection for watch glass, watch back and complete watch cases. The transparent plastic material adheres by adhesion and can therefore be removed and repositioned without leaving any residue. Text or logos can also be printed here.
 

       
 

 

Leather strap labels

Leather strap labels are used both for labelling a complete watch and for labelling separate, unmounted watch straps without watch cases.They usually have the shape of a loop label. To prevent staining or soiling the leather, the loop is kept glue-free.
The leather strap label is attached by looping the label loop around the first strap loop, gluing the loop tip into the label fields before folding and inserting the folded label under the second strap loop. Labels for leather watch straps in special sales packaging are developed custom-made for each manufacturer or retailer according to the requirements of the relevant POS system.
Leather strap labels ideally consist of tear-resistant plastic material composite with permanent adhesive. This ensures that the label can withstand multiple presentations of a watch during sales without damage.
Labels for leather watch straps have a particularly representative effect with an imprint in coporate colours of the manufacturer or retailer and can be imprinted with individual prices, barcodes or other data in the label printer via thermal transfer printing.
 

       
 

 

Metal strap labels

Metal watch straps traditionally have been labelled with wrappers made of paper laminated with aluminium foil. They could be shaped like metal, i.e. simply adapted to the bandwidth, kept, once bent, their shape and were fitted firmly without any glue. Today this type of material is no longer available for cost and environmental reasons, but could also not be printed with individual data.

Today, banderoles made of adhesive materials, such as self-adhesive plastic films and papers, replace the legacy label type. In contrast to aluminium-paper wrappers, modern metal watchband labels can be printed as required - with logo imprint in specific corporate colours and with individual data including barcode via a thermal transfer label printer.
To a certain extent, the bands can also be adapted to different widths of watch bands. After printing, labels for metal watchbands are folded in the middle and both halves are glued together. Folded in this way, a strip remains adhesive on one side of the label. Now the banderole is placed around the watch band, shortened as required and closed with the still adhesive end.

Watch labels for threads

From the range of tags in the jewellery sector, labels type "WrapTag" in combination with security threads are particularly recommended for labelling high-quality watches.
With self-adhesive thread labels of WrapTag shape, two additional label areas made of glossy, transparent film enclose the printed labelling fields as soon as the label has been folded. The tag looks heavier, is stronger and is less susceptible to dirt, damage or manipulation. WrapTags are also suitable with inserted transponders as part of an RFID solution.
 
WrapTags can be reliably fastened with security threads from our product range. Security threads consist of tear-resistant synthetic fibre cord with a special locking mechanism. Once closed, the lock cannot be reopened.
Of course, other labels with thread from the jewellery section can also be used to label watches.
 

       
 

 

Label combinations for wristwatches

Combination of different shapes to a label set for watches

Wristwatches from the upmarket segment often have individual, high-quality boxes. For labelling, this means that watch and box must be labelled with a matching label. Label sets from our range of label combinations for jewellery are particularly recommended for this purpose.
Labe combinations unite different types of labels on the carrier web to form a set of shapes so that this can be marked with data simultaneously in a single printing process. The label set combines very different shapes, usually a loop label with a rectangular shape. However, combinations with other label types, such as thread labels, are also possible.
 

       
 

 

Security labels for watches

Tamper proof watch labels

Security labels for wristwatches protect against manipulations. They are useful wherever expensive original watches are threatened to be replaced by inferior counterfeits, i.e. in goods traffic in general or in an event of trick thefting during sale. In commerce, especially online, security labels can be used preventively against returns fraud: With a clear worded imprint, they prevent consumers from wearing watches, then returning them and reclaiming the price.

Security labels destroy themselves even at the slightest attempt to remove, open or reposition them. Their self-destructive material splits into layers, falls into tiny particles or tears. The label can therefore never be reassembled and reattached again or to other goods. Holograms and black light printing additionally increase the protective effect. They make the label forgery-proof.
