Jewellery labels in dumbbell shape or dumbbell labels are also called barbell labels. In the eXtra4 product range they were previously listed as ring labels. Dumbbell labels can be regarded as precursors of loop labels. Since the bridge with its fixed length proves to be too inflexible, e.g. it often does not work for wide rings, dumbbell-shaped jewellery labels have largely been replaced by loop labels. Here the label adapts to the jewellery as required, because the loop can be handled longer or shorter. Due to a lack of demand, dumbell labels are no longer available from stock at eXtra4 Labelling Systems.
If you still want to order dumbbell labels, you can choose from various types in numerous sizes, especially for labelling via label printer.
All self-adhesive dumbbell labels have glue-free bridges to prevent the jewellery from being soiled by glue. For shapes with a flap for fully glued materials, the flap seals the bridge, but this requires more time and care when applying.
Please note: Dumbbell labels are difficult to control for many label printers.
The mostly centrally positioned web sensors of the devices run over the narrow bridge and thus cannot correctly detect the height of the label.

Self-adhesive jewelry labels with dumbbell shape for use in thermal transfer printers are hardly used anymore. They can no longer be ordered from stock, but only on request.
The majority of dumbell labels in the eXtra4 Labelling Systems range are label shapes for manual marking.

Rivets or eyelets - repositionable or sealed
Dumbbell-shaped labels are partly equipped with a hole for closing. They can be resealed and attached to jewellery with plastic rivets. If dumbbell labels are to be permanently attached to pieces of jewellery, they can also be attached with metal eyelets and eyelet pliers.

Efficient labelling with label combinations
Form combinations of different jewellery labels to a print set are in demand where jewellery and its case have to be labelled at the same time, e.g. for brand jewellery with individual packaging design or for watches. It can also be advantageous in the labelling organisation to create the label for the price display or price holder in the decoration of shop windows or showcases at the same time as the jewellery label. There is also a need for printing a set of labels if a jewellery set consisting of different types of jewellery, such as a ring and matching earrings or chain and associated ring are to be labelled in a single operation.
With the help of label combinations, manufacturers can make labelling particularly convenient for their customers by offering a choice of different label types for labelling.

Label Combinations are designed for marking in label printers and are designed for self-adhesive materials. In this form, combined labels can also be written on by hand, special labels of this type expressly for handwriting are therefore not found in the range.

The pearl label therefore needs a precisely fitting opening so that an eyelet can be inserted and sealed to the label material by closing the label. After closing, the eyelet must not be able to be removed from the label without damaging it.

Custom-made examples of pearl labels and bead labels
We develop label shapes for strands of pearls and beads according to individual requirements. They are always self-adhesive and designed for marking in label printers. For handwriting, it is also possible to mark our pearl labels with a suitable pen. We can colour suitable adhesive materials as required and print them with a lettering or logo. Hot foil stamping is also possible.

Pearl labels are particularly effective as WrapTags. Here, two additional label fields made of glossy, transparent foil are wrapped around the printed inscription fields as the label is folded and enclose them. Pearl labels as WrapTags have a higher stability, carry more weight and are less sensitive to dirt.
Pearl labels for hanging
Jewellery labels for pearls and beads often also have to take into account that strands of pearls and beads are stored hanging. Pearl labels therefore also require an opening for the hanging device. Accordingly, labels for strands of pearls and beads must have sufficient strength to carry a certain weight without being damaged.
