General Manager Alex Schickel with his father Reinhard Nonnenmacher
Change in General Management of Ferdinand Eisele GmbH Reinhard Nonnenmacher hands over the company's leadership to Alex Schickel
Father and son had run Ferdinand Eisele GmbH jointly up to now. But at the age of almost 74 years, senior manager Reinhard Nonnenmacher would like to cut down. He leaves General Management while remaining a part-time consultant for the company, mainly in the field of classic labels.
"There is a time in your life when you should provide more room to other interests", he substantiates his decision. "So you know what to tackle and how when definitely retiring one day."
At the beginning of 2012, his eldest son Alex Schickel has solely as-sumed General Management. During an informal company celebration on January 20, 2012 he and the whole staff of Ferdinand Eisele GmbH expressed their thanks to the senior manager and wished him all the best for his part-time retirement.
Christmas campaign for sponsoring the AIDS project in Africa is being continued
Since 2008, Ferdinand Eisele has not given away calendars, season's greetings and gifts at the end of a year any more. Instead of that, the company has constantly been fostering an aid project in South Africa and has taken over sponsorships for five children.
Two of the sponsored children, Nosipho and Lungisani, have now left the fostered project as relatives could be found elsewhere who are willing to accommodate them. In lieu thereof, we are now going to sponsor the two girls Nomasonto and Nobuhle from 2011.
More information about PRO-Afrika you will find here on our website. A film about the Thandanani project being presented on the Kindernothilfe website.

Ferdinand Eisele Celebrate at the Varieté General Manager Alex Schickel invites staff for 2010 year-end and his 50th birthday.
For the employees of Ferdinand Eisele GmbH there were even two good reasons to celebrate the year-end of 2010: After the 2009 crisis year, 2010 turned out to be a successful one again, and at the same time General Manager Alex Schickel could solemnize his 50th birthday shortly before Christmas..
All employees and their spouses were invited to the cultural centre "Osterfeld" in Pforzheim for this reason on January 7, 2011. Everyone got together with a delicious festive buffet followed by a visit of the evening show of the "Varieté Winter Dreams" there in the big hall.
The almost 90-minute-fireworks of skilful acrobatics and elaborate word juggling provided a lot of amazement and laughter for everyone. So Ferdinand Eisele staff had a good common start into the new year 2011 being enthused by a splendid experience.
Now providing 4 colours for printing Ferdinand Eisele stocks up on printing machinery
Bigger scope for printing spot colours and enhanced print quality for larger track widths – this is what the new entrant in the machinery of Ferdinand Eisele GmbH provides. A printing machine from the Swiss precision manufacturer GALLUS has been extending the company's production range since May 2010.
4 spot colours can now be printed onto labels in best letterpress quality - and this up to a track width of 200 mm. These options bridge the gap in offers for smaller and medium editions requiring larger track widths.
For our customers, this means larger variety in terms of design at a reasonable price as the compact construction of the machine reduces material consumption during set-up. So its use makes sense for smaller editions, too.
Investments despite times of crisis Ferdinand Eisele buys slitter winder
In defiance of the general economic downturn the company invests in new technology for packing raw material. The new slitter winder allows dividing large track material coils into narrow tracks which are required for producing labels. Due to recent streamlining at our suppliers' it is no longer possible to obtain very narrow raw material tracks. In order to be able to - also at short term - provide the track widths that are necessary for special labels, the investment in this machine has been made.
This is how the company avoids long delays for the deliveries for its customers as well as for itself and opens up new production options. This leads to increased flexibility and new products.

Social commitment in place of season's greetings The company replaces its Christmas campaign with sponsoring an AIDS project in Africa
Ferdinand Eisele breaks with tradition: From 2008, no more calendars, greeting cards and presents are going to be sent out. Instead of that, the company is going to permanently support an assistance project in South Africa and to take over the sponsorship for five children. "With the increasing internationalisation of our clientele our traditional end-of-year campaigns for our customers were making less and less sense", General Manager Alex Schickel says about his decision. "Chocolate and Christmas greetings just do not mean much to a Muslim in Saudi Arabia."
That is why the company decided to use the annual budget which was assessed to the Christmas campaigns in a rather sustainable manner. An appropriate project was quickly found: The company is now supporting an assistance project for AIDS orphans in South Africa together with the association "Kindernothilfe" (children's emergency assistance) as competent partners.
Still actively involved in the label business at the age of 70 Senior Partner Reinhard Nonnenmacher celebrates anniversary at Ferdinand Eisele, Birkenfeld
When the entrepreneur Reinhard Nonnenmacher celebrates his birthday on April 28, 2008 at Ferdinand Eisele GmbH in Birkenfeld, this indeed is a reason to congratulate him twice: His 70th birthday also means 55 years of staff membership in the firm.
Born in Kieselbronn near Pforzheim, he started his career at Ferdinand Eisele in 1953 with a commercial apprenticeship. "This is the official date" - Reinhard Nonnenmacher says it with a smile. "In fact, I already delivered packages for Eisele when still being a high school student."

With Labels to International Renown 75 years Ferdinand Eisele
Ferdinand Eisele GmbH, grown with the traditional industry in Pforzheim, today is renowned world wide in terms of label systems for jewellery and watches. "Our customers are located in Tahiti, India, Africa, America and throughout Europe", General Manager Alex Schickel explains the international activity radius of the company from Birkenfeld with 30 employees. Nevertheless, the firm is of course especially close to the jewellery and watches industry in Pforzheim.
The company is rooted in Pforzheim, too. In autumn 1931, Ferdinand Eisele and Otto Fritzsche take off into self-employment at Sedanplatz 8. They take over the book printing and the label production of the office house Hamburger & Bredtmann which is located there. The commercial management of the newly founded company Eisele & Fritzsche is assigned to Maria Aab who brings along valuable experience as an apprentice and an employee of Hamburger & Bredtmann. She also dares the new start in 1945 together with Ferdinand Eisele after the destruction of Pforzheim and the complete loss of all current company assets.
