Computer Labels with Seal Characteristics
WrapTags seal themselves upon packaging

Birkenfeld, January 2012. With their development, Ferdinand Eisele, the label specialists from Birkenfeld near Pforzheim, Germany, particularly focus on those of their customers having increased safety requirements towards their products. The new WrapTags label line protects imprinted data against manipulation reliably.

When folding a WrapTag, two transparent label layers enclose the pages previously imprinted. The label is virtually wrapped into its own protective shell. Covered with a robust film layer, texts and codes such as barcode or matrix code are safe from mechanical and chemical influences.

Label printing software eXtra4 expands into the computer world with the apple


Birkenfeld, January 2012. eXtra4 as a widespread software for label printing now expands into the spheres of the cult brand with the apple. The popular Ferdinand Eisele software aims at supporting the increasing number of Apple MacIntosh users in the office environment with the new version extra4mac.


Up to now, eXtra4 has exclusively been reserved for users of Windows computers. Several thousands of users throughout the world account for the software's user-friendliness. Following the motto "KISS – keep it small and simple", the label specialist from the Pforzheim region has developed a handy tool which has been enabling comfortable label printing to the sector of industry around the globe for 10 years. The software which has been renamed to eXtra4win for improved differentiation is now available in more than 10 languages and in the 2nd version already.

Birkenfeld, December 2011. Ferdinand Eisele makes its label printing programme eXtra4, which is widely spread in the sector, accessible to a new group of users. The experts for identification technology from Birkenfeld near Pforzheim open up their programme for users of sector-independent merchandise management systems such as SAP Business one, Navision and KHK.

The standard version 2.2 of the eXtra4 software aims at customers not using a merchandise management system. With its new module, Ferdinand Eisele is now deliberately approaching the bigger companies in the sector. If they are wholesalers, retailers or manufacturers – they all have large data pools. To handle them, they often use sector-independent merchandise management systems based on large client/server databases. ...

Care product for label printers

Birkenfeld, October 2011. Regular cleaning prolongs the lifetime of thermal transfer printers substantially. Therefore Ferdinand Eisele has added a care product for rubber rollers and a cleaning pen for print heads to their "eXtra4" range of products.

Big or small – the investment for a label printer is supposed to pay off. It literally lies in every user's hands as it only takes a few movements to bring a long lifetime to thermal transfer devices: Put some cleaning agent on a lint-free cloth, wipe quickly over the rubber rollers and sweep over the print bar with the tip of the cleaning pen – that's it. ...

Birkenfeld, July 2011. Pricing in shop windows and showcases using computer labels – Ferdinand Eisele GmbH's product innovation impressively showed end of 2010 that something so convenient can look appealing, too. The experts in labelling now add new models to the product line: label stands with a length that has been reduced by 4 mm, and also stands in black are now available under the brand "eXtra4".

"The lively interest in our new development particularly also during the spring fairs has induced us to widen the product range fast", General Manager Alex Schickel comments the company's product policy. "Many of our customers were enthusiastic about the idea to simply make further use of the loop label they knew from pricing as well when presenting the merchandise." ...

Maximum Definition Combined With Minimum Size
New thermal transfer printer facilitates tiny barcode labels

Birkenfeld, March 2011. Label specialists Ferdinand Eisele have succeeded in printing reliably readable barcodes on over 30 % smaller labels with the new 600dpi thermal transfer printer TSC-TTP 644M.

"We have been able to offer our customers barcode labels being very small already with an inscription space of 17.5 x 8 mm using the commercially available 300 dpi devices. Now", says Alex Schickel, General Manager of the company located near Pforzheim, "we even undermatch our own top mark by another 5 mm. Our smallest barcode label is now just about 12 mm wide and 7 mm high."
